Meet Our Founder + Director
Christine Webster
Christine is a visual designer who turned to beekeeping in 2017 as an escape from her sedentary desk work. What started as curiosity and affection slowly unfurled into a nourishing hobby, only to snap into something like a calling.
Christineās passion is working with and for bees. Her strength is engaging people. Her skill is realizing the abstract through design; and these three tools combined are what realize The Peoples Bees.

Christopher Webster
Christopher is always able to see the forest for the treesāa talent which has propelled him through over 13 years in marketing as an Art and Creative Director. Heās also a master pun writer, which we here in the bee universe appreciate. Christopher has been with us from the beginning, helping to actualize The Peoples Bees from the dust of passion and lending his muscles when the loads get heavy.

Carol Peeples
Seeing Carolās name on our advisory board is not a coincidenceāit was meant to bee. Youād be hard-pressed to find someone who works harder for the people than Carol; sheās served as an educator in schools and prisons in the United States and overseas for many moons until she founded Remerg, a nonprofit working to end recidivism by providing free resources to people re-entering society from incarceration.
Carol keeps The Peoples Bees on track as a sustainable nonprofit.
Lisa Mason
Q: What do Lisa and pollinators have in common?
A: Mason bees!
Mason bees are members of the genus Osmia, which might as well have been named after Lisa for her resourcefulness, keen intuition, creativity, and deep relationship with nature. Lisa shares with The Peoples Bees her expertise in melittology (the study of bees), forestry, and community science. Check out her community science project Native Bee Watch through Colorado State Universityās Arapahoe county extension.
Frankie Kennel
After years of studying bees on her own and wanting to learn apiculture, Frankie finally decided to suit up for a beekeeping lesson with Christine in 2021. The experience left her feeling pulled to do more, so in 2022 she maintained a portion of our hives as an apprentice, and in 2023 she joined The Peoples Bees board of directorsālending her skills in strategic operations, Spanish translation, and bottomless love for bees.

When we say āpeopleā, we mean all people.
We are always looking to build relationships with people to constantly gain perspective on community needs. Beekeepers, educators, community workers, marginalized people, bilingual speakers, and those with special needs are encouraged to contact us with suggestions for improvement or collaboration ideas to better serve communities.
